Travel and writing ...

Mybookrang is a new, free and fun concept that gives you the opportunity to participate in the drafting of a universal collective globetrotter newspaper.

Have you ever thought to send a message in a bottle thrown into the sea in the hope that someone on the other side of the planet, finds your message and contact you? Mybookrang , it's kind of the same idea, except that the bottle is replaced by a notebook that passes from hand to hand , from town to town , and on which each person can leave his testimony.

You can write on your Mybookrang everything what you think about , anything you want to share with others : personal experiences , information on a city , your rants , desires , ideas , artistic creations (text, pictures or music scores ) , messages of hope for ... All you want except insults and discriminatory.

Make your ideas travel across borders and languages

To be part of the Mybookrangers community, it is very easy! Two possibilities :

Create your own Mybookrang . First you need a blank notebook , printer and a tube of glue . (So if you're about to go on a trip, remember to prepare your book before you leave !). Then simply sign up, click on "create a notebook" and follow instructions described in "how it works".
Participate in an existing and identified Mybookrang. You’ve just to register on the website, create a profile and enter the identification number of the Mybookrang you've found or that someone gave you (Notebooks/Join a notebook).

By becoming a Mybookranger you can follow the trip of your notebook through the world, thanks to its geo- identification number and connect you with other authors, members of the community.

How it works ?

1^ère étape

Take a blank notebook.

On the cover paste our downloadable printable cover.

Important: everybody could easily identify that it’s a Mybookrang and the person who finds it doesn’t have to throw it !

2^ème étape

Register on our website, fill out your profile and click on "create a new notebook" to give it an identification number. This ID number (that is directly integrated into the user manual) gives you the opportunity to geolocate and follow it on the website. Print the user manual (pdf) translated into several languages to put and paste on the first page of your notebook. The manual looks like that ;-)

3^ème étape

Express yourself freely on your notebook, anonymously or not. Draw or write a few lines (or pages for more talkative) about your life, your passions, your rant ... Anyway, what touches you. Paint it heart. You can write or draw ... Do not hold back ! The watchwords are: EXPRESSION OF UNIVERSAL FREEDOM!

Very important : don’t forget to mention at the beginning or end of your testimony, the date and place where you are .

4^ème étape

When you have finished writing, several options: give your mybookrang to a friend to write it and forward it in turn, leave it in a place of passage (station, airport, hotel, restaurant, bar, plane, train...) where someone else can find it and participate.

5^ème étape

At any time you can log on our website, enter the ID number of your Mybookrang, geotag it and follow his journey on the map.
It’s important that each person gets the notebook, enrolls in turn the website, enter the notebook identification number so we can follow all the steps of its travel. You can also contact the authors of your Mybookrang and chat with them.

6^ème étape

The last author of each book has the responsibility to return it to us, then we can put it online as an ebook. So every Mybookranger can discover all the testimonies. Then we'll send the mybookrang to the person who created it. That’s how the word Mybookrang makes sense : a mix between book and boomerang ...

1^ère étape

You just found this funny book with a drawing or an illustration Mybookrang on the cover and instructions pasted on the first page. Welcome to the universe of Mybookrang !

2^ème étape

It's your turn to draw or to write something on the notebook without forgetting to date and note where you are.

3^ème étape

Register on the website, fill out your profile, enter the identification number of this traveller notebook (Notebooks/Join a notebook). Write the date and place where you are so that everyone can geolocate the Mybookrang. You are now in the Mybookrangers community, you can get you in touch with the other authors of the book.

4^ème étape

Leave the traveller notebook in a place of way or give it to an another person for him to continue its trip around the world...

At any time you can log in to the site, enter the identification number of the Mybookrangs, geotag it, follow its trip on a map and share with other authors.
